Cities in a Snap
Sat, Nov 06, 2021
- Participants must stream live on Twitch for the duration of the event.
- Steam Workshop is allowed within reason, bearing in mind that if you import a completed (or near completed) build you will be immediately disqualified.
- Participants must be in Discord for the Duration of the event in the designated Voice Channel for interviews and the like.
- For help in running the event, it is recommended that participants enable the games in a snap bot, "Polyphony" to act as a moderator during the event. This is purely to allow posting of links related to the event and providing time checks throughout the event.
- Participants are required to be present at a "check in meeting" 45 minutes prior to the Event Start (1:15 pm US/Chicago Time). This meeting should only last 5 minutes, and is considered confidential. If you plan on streaming through this time, please mute yourself and the Discord Call.
- If you decide to end stream at the conclusion of the event, it is encouraged to raid the event channel so that we can all raid the winner together. This is NOT required, only a tradition/nice gesture.
- Throughout the event, please encourage your viewers to watch yourself AND the main event channel. The strength of this event is in unifying communities, and connecting various viewers across a category.
- Chatters should be reminded not to "spy" on other participants for you.
- During Interviews, please refrain from doing the "usual" Twitch shoutouts as this only adds confusion to the event.
- Please remind your communities that the event is about the best build, NOT their favorite streamer(s) [Even You!]. This, traditionally, has not been a problem but stays as a reminder.
- All voting takes place on the main channel via a Twitch Poll at the end.
- While final scores are always posted to the Discord, the live judging rubric is kept out of public eye just to avoid confusion should a category be filled in wrongly and later corrected (possibly changing the outcome). Event moderators do have access to view the rubric live as a check against the host(s) and any guest judge(s) present.
